Adam Aleksander, New York’s eccentric wiz-kid party planner, collaborated with The Supper Club for a fabulous fête that paid homage to Marie Antoinette's boudoir. The designer extraordinaire spent several weeks researching the French Queen’s life in order to get a good sense of what the party should look like. Page Six and The Real Deal both reported about the suit that Paolo Zampolli, founder of ID Model Management, filed on Tuesday in New York State Supreme Court against Cristina Calori and her company, Monster Real Estate; Massey Knakal; and Heian Bunka Center. The Quesada 35th Anniversary cigar comes from the Dominican Republic’s MATASA factory, home of the Fonseca brand. This is the first time the family’s surname has been used as a brand. In 2009 MATASA celebrated its 35th Anniversary in the Dominican Republic. J.Crew has been accused of employment prejudice from the civil-rights group Make the Road New York when it failed a "test" given by the group. A rally was held this past Sunday at the Fifth Avenue location in New York after a complaint was filed with the New York Attorney General's office. Company executives have yet to comment, but the blogosphere is seemingly split on the scandal with some calling outrage and others claiming the store has the right to hire those they believe convey its carefully groomed image.
